The mission of Women Build is to engage women in the effort to provide safe and decent homes for families in need of affordable housing. By recruiting, educating, and inspiring women, we can transform lives in our communities.
Since 2011, Women Build in Lee and Hendry Counties has partnered with 31 female-headed families to build strength and stability for their children through local fundraising & volunteer efforts. Last year, 79% of Habitat’s future homeowners were female-led households, highlighting the ongoing need for affordable housing opportunities for women.
Together, we aim to raise $500,000 to support female-headed households partnering with Habitat to achieve homeownership—providing them with a stable foundation for generations to come. Because when a family can build a better life in a stable and affordable home, we are all empowered.
