Items Accepted for Donation

Below you will find a list of donations accepted at the ReStore. Please keep in mind not all items accepted meet the size requirement for our free donation pick-up service. However, all accepted items in good sellable condition can be dropped off at any of our 4 ReStore locations. If you have any donation question, please give us a call at (239) 652-0388.

Appliances

All appliances must be less than 10 years old, in good/working condition, and without rust. To find age: www.appliance411.com.

NO: Gas appliances and dishwashers manufactured before Jan. 2014.

Building Materials

• Drywall (full sheets)
• Large quantities of lumber (6 ft or longer)
• Plywood
• Trim
• Bricks
• Blocks
• Pavers
• Grout (unopened)
• Power Tools
• Hand Tools
NO: Paint, cut or used wood. Nothing exposed or left out in exterior elements.

Cabinets

• Kitchen and bathroom cabinets
• Kitchen islands
• Bathroom vanities
Doors must be attached, and countertops only accepted with matching cabinets.
NO: Rot, mold, water damage, or broken cabinets, or Granite and marble countertops.

Doors

Interior and exterior (standard size only)
NO: Sliding glass, garage, 8ft or larger doors, or garage door mechanics.

Entertainment

• Home theater equipment (less than five years old)
• Flat screen TV’s (less than five years old)
• Books
• Games
NO: Computer equipment, Tube TVs, or other electronics items.

Flooring/Area Rugs

• Area rugs (8ft x 11ft or smaller)
• Wood (new)
• Laminate (new)
• Tile (new)
• Linoleum (new)
• Carpet Tiles (new)
Must be more than 100 Square feet of flooring, new and in original box.
NO: Area rugs larger than 8×11, ripped or stained, wall-to-wall carpeting or carpet remnants. Any flooring manufactured in China, broken, used or unboxed.

Furniture

• Patio

• Bedroom

• Dining room

NO: Stained, torn, broken, peeling, moldy, or pet-damaged furniture. No mattresses/box-springs, entertainment centers, armoires, or Murphy beds.

Hardware

• Boxes of nails, screws, nuts, and misc. hardware
• Door handles
• Door hinges
• Misc. hardware
• Door knobs/deadbolts
• Cabinet pulls

NO: Rusted, loose, or missing parts.

Home Decor

• Artwork
• Home accessories
• Framed mirrors
• Artificial greenery 
• Knick knacks
• Linens
NO: Broken items or unframed mirrors. 

Housewares

• Cookware
• Dishes
• Cups
• Glasses
• Utensils
• Small kitchen appliances
NO: Cracked or broken items.

Lawn & Garden

• Fountains
• Lawn Mowers

• Mulch and rocks (full bags)
• Gently used tools
NO: Propane tanks, broken, moldy, or rusted items. No fuel or gas cans.

Lighting & Fans

• Sconces
• Light fixtures
• Chandeliers
• Lamps
• Ceiling Fans
• Floor Fans
All lighting and ceiling fans must be in working condition with all parts and mounting brackets included.
NO: Lightbulbs of any kind, broken items, or items needing repairs. 

Plumbing & Bathroom

• Single sinks
• Tubs
• Low-flow toilets
• PVC pipes and fittings
• New water filters
NO: Faucets, shower doors, hot water heaters, countertops with built-in sinks, or jacuzzi tubs.

Sporting Goods

• Exercise equipment (less than 5 years old)
• Bikes
• Golf clubs
• Kayaks
• Fishing
NO: Recalled, broken, or rusted items.

Windows

• Hurricane impact windows
• New insulation
• Cordless blinds

NO: Used gutters or windows non-hurricane proof. Vertical or corded blinds, valances, draperies.
