Habitat for Humanity, perhaps more so than any other nonprofit, relies upon a broad base of dedicated supporters to deliver our services. Home sponsors are vital to Habitat’s home-building efforts and epitomize our mission to put God’s love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
Businesses, organizations, and individuals play a fundamental role in empowering hardworking, low-income families to break the cycle of poverty through affordable homeownership. Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties would like to thank our 2020 Home Sponsors for their commitment to ensuring everyone in Southwest Florida has a decent place to live: Alliant Association Management, B & I Contractors, Beacon Point Associates, Bonita Bay residents, Bonita Springs Estero Realtors, Chico’s FAS, Clive Daniel Home, David and Kay Daly, Enterprise Holdings, the Fernandez Family Foundation, Florida Hometown Title & Escrow, Friends of Kitty Green, Home-Tech, Miromar Development Corporation, Norris Furniture & Interiors, Pelican Landing residents, Raymond Building Supply, Scanlon Auto Group, Shadow Wood Charitable Foundation, State Farm Insurance, Terry & Susan Mulligan, TIAA Bank, and Victory Layne Chevrolet.
The financial and volunteer support from our home sponsors has had a remarkable impact on our local community by allowing Habitat to continue serving families in need of safe and affordable homes.
An analysis of the numbers demonstrates the collective impact of Habitat’s home sponsors, despite the unanticipated impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic. A mere six months into our fiscal year, home sponsors helped fund the construction costs for 23 homes—meaning 23 families now have the opportunity to thrive in a home they can afford. Additionally, home sponsors and their 478 volunteers contributed 5,900 hours on home constructions site. They worked alongside future Habitat homeowners, raising walls, pounding nails, and bringing homes to life.
For your continued support, we are profoundly grateful.
As life begins returning to normal in a measured approach, Habitat, with your help, remains dedicated to serving vulnerable families in our community—many of whom are fraught with unique challenges.
On behalf of Habitat for Humanity and the families we serve, thank you.
