Open Invitation to Bid: Habitat Future Headquarters Project

Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties is preparing to release a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the turn-key construction of our new Habitat Headquarters located in Fort Myers. This project includes a 30,000+/- sq ft warehouse, 20,000+/- sq ft administrative building, and Full site development of 4.5+/- acres.

This will be a turn-key contract—Habitat will not be managing the construction internally. The selected contractor will be responsible for all aspects of construction, coordination of subcontractors, and final delivery of the building(s). We have already selected an architect and have a rough design in place. Now, we are building our list of vendors who may be interested in submitting a proposal once the RFP is released.

This project may have funding through local, state or federal agencies. Regulations during construction, including but not limited to Davis-Bacon prevailing wages and Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended, 12 U.S.C.1701u (section). Certified payroll and labor compliance may be required. Preference may be given to businesses that qualify as Section 3, Disadvantaged, Minority, or Women-Owned. All applicable laws, codes, and regulations will apply.
