Through shelter, we empower.

Habitat for Humanity builds mutually beneficial relationships with local businesses as we work together to create a community where everyone has a decent place to live. Corporate partners receive numerous social, organizational, marketing, and fiscal benefits while helping local families achieve the American dream of homeownership.

Through shelter, we empower. Habitat homeowners build their own homes alongside volunteers and purchase a home with an affordable mortgage. A decent home gives us the strength, stability, and independence to take care of ourselves and build our own futures.

According to the 2017 Cone Communications Study:

percent of consumers have a more positive image of companies that support social issues.

percent of consumers want companies to address important social justice issues

percent of consumers purchased a product because a company advocated for an issue they care about

Fund the Mission

Tax-deductible contributions to the Revolving Land Fund support the purchase and development of property across Lee and Hendry Counties. Identifying and securing land is critical to Habitat’s ability to build future homes and neighborhoods. The Revolving Land Funds allows corporate partners to impact Habitat in a significant manner, paving the way for future sustainable growth.

Tax-deductible contributions help subsidize the costs of building homes in Lee and Hendry Counties. Habitat provides both new construction and the rehabilitation of existing homes. There are two ways your company can participate.

Build the Home: Home Sponsorship Opportunities:

  • Community Contribution Tax Credit Program (CCTCP) – Limited Availability Provides a financial incentive via an income tax credit or sales tax refund to encourage qualified Florida businesses to make donations toward community development and housing projects for low-income persons. A business can “donate” a specific Habitat home through a 50/50 cash and in-kind sponsorship – a cash donation and the contribution of at least 200 volunteer hours toward the construction of a home. The business will receive 50% of the value of the donation (based on home appraisal) back, which equates to the full amount of the cash portion paid.
  • Corporate Giving: Tax Deductible Donations Tax-deductible charitable contributions of $5,000 or more help subsidize the construction costs of new and rehabilitated homes for partner families.

Naming opportunities are available as we develop and build eight Habitat communities throughout Lee County! Neighborhoods range from a small cul-de-sac in Bonita Springs to a 20-acre parcel (up to 150 homes!) in Harlem Heights. Habitat neighborhoods build a sense of community, cohesion, and support amongst homeowners through their shared experiences. Together, families can live in safe, affordable homes that improve their health, education, and quality of life. Whether naming a street or naming the neighborhood, sponsors leave a lasting legacy and become an integral part of a community’s transformation. Join us as we build for the future of Lee County homeowners!
