Cape Coral Emergency Owner Occupied Home Repair Program

 

Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties has partnered with the the City of Cape Coral to offer emergency home repairs to eligible households, on owner-occupied residential properties in the City of Cape Coral. This assistance provides emergency repairs to major systems, including roof, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), plumbing, electrical, well and septic.

Eligibility Requirements

The household must meet income guidelines. These limits are based on the income and assets of all adults living in the household regardless of relationship and are adjusted annually.

The home must be the primary residence of the client. The City of Cape Coral will check the property's homestead status through the Lee County Property Appraiser on an annual basis.

All adult household members must pass a criminal background check.

Homeowner(s) must have legal right to reside permanently in the United States.

The Home value may not exceed $481,176 (LEEPA value).

Mortgage payments must be current.

Property taxes must be current.

The homeowner(s) must not have a reverse mortgage.

Encumbrances on the property must not exceed the value of the property.

Homeowner must NOT have any unpaid property tax lien, IRS lien, or judgement of any kind.
