The walls are stored under Habitat's lumber hanger, next to Habitat's North Fort Myers Thrift Store. Habitat for Humanity of Lee County builds a 3-bedroom and 4-bedroom floor plan for homeowners. Each home is constructed with hurricane straps and impact windows to endure Florida's stormy weather. Habitat's homes cover about 1800 square feet, including a garage and porch. Every Habitat home is equipped with a new Whirlpool refrigerator, stove, washer and dryer.
